PYGORA KIDS FOR SALE

Goat babies are called kids. Little boys are bucklings, little girls are doelings.

We carefully select our breeding pairs to obtain the best kids possible, correct conformation, beautiful fiber, and healthy kids. We spend a lot of time with our kids so they are socialized and easy to handle for their future owners. We breed during November and December, so kids are expected to arrive during April and into May of the following year.

Our contact list for choosing kids will be in the order of deposits received. The deposit is applied toward the cost of the kid(s) and is fully refundable if there are no kids born that interest you by the end of our kidding season. Deposits are $100 which holds your place in line. Once your kids are chosen, 25% of their purchase price is due. Final payment is due one week prior to the kids leaving. Remember to consider transport in your plans as these costs are the responsibility of the buyer; I can suggest options.

All our kids are disbudded, given their baby shots, microchipped, and any bucklings will be wethered. Fees and paperwork for pre-registration will be submitted to the Pygora Breeders Association by us when the kid is paid in full and ready to go to her new home.

If you're new to goats, there is a lot of information about the different breeds, their care, and what they can provide, on the internet, in books, on video. If you are considering the possibility of owning goats, the best advice is do your homework! Read, read, read, then go visit a ranch or two, or three. Talk to people who own goats. Be honest and evaluate your needs and desire to own these animals with your ability to be a good shepherd.

Prices for registered pygora goats depend on sex, color, fiber possibilities, conformation, and health. Any bucklings born will be wethered unless a buyer specifically requests and pays in full for a buck to remain intact, so typically we will have doelings and wethers for sale. Wethers are priced at $125 to $150. Doelings are priced at $375 to $450. An intact buckling would be priced at $400 to $450. Final prices depend entirely on the kids themselves.
