We left city life in 2004 to build a new home in the Sierra Mountain foothills of northern California, close to Mother Lode tourist towns, beautiful boating and fishing lakes, and Yosemite National Park. Our property sits on a bluff above the Tuolumne River in the gold country town of Sonora. In the evenings, we can sit and watch the boats and jet skis run up and down the river while the sun sets over the western slope.
After researching various choices of livestock and visiting several ranches, we bought our first pygora goats in the summer of 2005. It was a great decision. We now have 14 does, six wethers, and two bucks. We invite you to visit our pages and meet our herd as well as learn about their beautiful fiber! Each of our goats is a well loved and valued member of our animal family. Pygora goats are loving, curious, and playful creatures and our lives have been enriched by this opportunity to learn about and care for them.
