KIDS FOR SALE

Goat babies are called kids. Little boys are bucklings, little girls are doelings.

We are already thinking about breeding plans for our Spring 2009 kids! Please let us know if you would be interested in listing your name for contact when these kids are born. E-mail goatmom@californiapygoras.com.

These twin does were born on Cinco de Mayo (May 5, 2008) to Black Jack and Grace.
As you can see, they're clones of their sire. We've nicknamed them Uno and Dos.

The girls are very difficult to tell apart, particularly out in the pasture!
They are very sweet and quite friendly.

Cognac and Pequena had a single doeling on Mother's Day, May 11, 2008, her nickname is Tres.
She is a beautiful cocoa color, a combination of her sire and dam. She's a very friendly and vocal girl.

All our kids will be disbudded, given their baby shots, microchipped, and any bucklings will be wethered. Fees and paperwork for pre-registration will be submitted to the Pygora Breeders Association by us when the kid is paid in full and ready to go to her new home. Your kid is reserved with a $100 deposit and must be paid in full before pickup or delivery.

If you're new to goats, there is a lot of information about the different breeds, their care, and what they can provide, on the internet, in books, on video. If you are considering the possibility of owning goats, the best advice is do your homework! Read, read, read, then go visit a ranch or two, or three. Talk to people who own goats. Be honest and evaluate your needs and desire to own these animals with your ability to be a good shepherd.

Prices for registered pygora goats depend on sex, color, fiber possibilities, conformation, and health. Any bucklings born will be wethered unless a buyer specifically requests and pays in full for a buck to remain intact, so typically we will have doelings and wethers for sale. Wethers are priced at $85 to $150. Doelings are priced at $275 to $450. An intact buckling would be priced at $400 to $450. Final prices depend entirely on the kids themselves.
